Pelvic girdle connects the leg to the spine and providing support to abdominal organs in the pelvis. The entire upper body weight is transmitted through the girdle to lower limbs. Pelvic girdle consists paired pelvic bones. Both pelvic bones are connected to each other at the front and rear cross-bones. Deep dished structure formed by the merger of pelvic bones, sacrum and coccyx is called the pelvis bone. Pelvic bone is large and has an irregular shape.
